![]() ![]() If you’re not too keen on transforming the Abomination (which there will be dungeons where you don’t want or need to), he can rock slot 3 pretty well. I agree for the most part, though I’d say there’s some conditional arguments for some characters. I think you nailed the others pretty well. I'd keep him in Pos1 in case a Cultist Witch pulls someone from the backline. MAA fits into every single position, but pos4 makes him a pure buffer and guarder, which is only sometimes the better call.įlag must go into Pos1 or Pos2, and is very weak to shuffling. Lepper wants Pos1 more than Pos2, cause Purge is a situationally good skill. I'd personally always use Lunge on Grave Robber, so I'd stick to Pos4 exclusively on her, and give my pos2 and sometimes even pos3 +1 forward moves, so they can push her to the back by themselves. Hound is a good example as well, as you've mentioned. ![]() If you want to use his insanely good stun you need him in Pos1-2. Some people reverse this ordering, so try not to get confused Note: I'm reffering to Pos1 as front, same as you did in your post. Some classes have very flexible positioning that depends on their skills. The rank 2 build with Profane Scroll is useful in the very odd situation where frontline damage that has a noticeable ramp-up period is actually desirable.Įverything I didn't mention is pretty accurate.ĭepends on skills you plan on using. I looked down on this for a while but it turns out that even though using a SB this way is detrimental to the SB, it's still the most consistently damaging dancer for this purpose: HWM's ripostes are just too inconsistent even if HWM benefits from dancing. ![]() Rank 4 is workable in mark parties, but any other rank is preferable.ģ works as a dancer if you're trying to support a Crusader. It's a completely different build from the rank 3 one, though: frontline is primarily stun+heal and rank 3 is damage+heal. Hands from the Abyss is a very good stun. There's also a rank 4 buffbot meme build based around Guardian's Shield, but it's not very good since Guardian's Shield doesn't actually give stats that are important to a buffbot (plus two of the buffs are very situational-Bolster and one of Bellow or Command depending on trinket setup). Even if you aren't using Crush, his guard is more likely to intercept attacks when the MaA himself is in the front-particularly against enemies with low-range attacks. Starting him in 3 is only useful when you want to use him as a dancer. He has a slight preference for 1 (easier to handle shuffles there + two of his less useful skills are only usable there) but 2 is functional. She prefers 2-3 a bit since they have better options if for some reason you don't want to use one of those skills (2 instead of 1 lets you Dagger in case something really nasty is in rank 4, and 3 instead of 4 lets you Pick if you'd prefer to kill something with high PROT that's in the front). Mind that the starting position heavily depends on whether you want to use Shadow Fade or Lunge first. You can technically make a backline build but it's basically just a bad Vestal with a weird stress heal. You can run him in 3 and 4 for dancing as well, but you only tend to do this when using other Crusaders as dancers. Only reason to run Lance in 1 is for shuffle protection-a pretty decent reason, tbh. ![]() In these cases you pretty much always run him in rank 2. When using Holy Lance as your primary attack (as opposed to as a repositioning tool), you generally use him alongside another dancer to push him back. 2 works just as well as 1 for him even when you aren't able to use Holy Lance. ![]()
